He has worked in industry as a programmer, designer and team leader, in university life as a teacher and researcher, and has trained programmers for Learning Tree and Sun. Olivier fell in love with Java ten years ago, and has been working and playing with it since then, trying to shed some light on the most obscure parts of the language and platform. David started coding in Java during 1997, first attracted to the language by the promises of portability and platform independent execution. His Java hobbies include JVM performance tweaking, investigating threading issues and load testing application servers. He holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from The University of Waikato.

Álvaro is a passionate software developer and open source advocate. He started developing with Java in 2000. He's an experienced instructor in several computer-related fields such as security, databases and, of course, programming in Java. His main Java interests are performance, concurrency, modularization and software architecture. Álvaro has developed software projects in Spain and Latin America, and is fluent in both Spanish and English.

Massimiliano started writing Java code in 2000. He is passionate about open source and is a frequent speaker at Java technology events. His interests include learning new languages and technologies. He is author of the book "Spring 2.5 Aspect Oriented Programming".
