We check in our XOR int swap code. Having all our small changes as separate commits allows us to go back and see what we have tried.

We could not create the software that we do without tools like source control. Unfortunately even today you will find smaller engineering companies where the "source control" is an external USB drive. It is very risky to work in such chaos.
